A man was arrested in West Kilbride last month on suspicion of driving while under the influence of drugs.
The incident happened on October 10 in the village, with traffic officers conducting a drugs swab at the roadside.
Cannabis was found in the man’s system, and a further blood sample was taken and sent off for analysis.
Officers say if the man is over the prescribed limit, he will be charged and a report sent to the Procurator Fiscal.
