New bike maintenance stands have been placed at train stations in a bid to get the public to ditch the car.
The environmentally measure has been introduced at a number of railway stops.
The stand have been introduced at Largs and West Kilbride stations, with a number of other stations on the line also included in the programme, although Fairlie as yet has not been included.
A North Ayrshire Council spokesperson said: "We’ve installed bike maintenance stands at train stations across North Ayrshire.
"This allows people to ditch their cars and cycle to the station - knowing their bike will be safe and they can give their bike a maintenance check before heading home.
"Why don’t you leave the car at home and cycle to the station instead?"
