North Ayrshire Soccer Association 2010 League
Crosshouse 2 Largs Colts 4

Largs made it seven league wins in a row on Sunday after an impressive battling performance away to Crosshouse.
Craig McInroy opened the scoring on five minutes when he burst through from mid-field unleashing a thunderbolt from just outside the box.
The park was very heavy but Largs kept digging and got the ball down to play their brand of fast moving, fast passing football.
The second goal being a good example of this when Cormac O’Neill hit the bye-line and cut it back for a waiting Bruce Balmforth to dink it first time over the keeper and into the roof of the net.
The hosts pulled one back from a cross/shot that managed to evade Connor Hitter in the Largs goal.
However Cormac O’Neill regained Largs’ two goal lead when he got on the end of a front post corner, controlled it well, beat two defenders and lashed the ball home, giving Largs a 3-1 lead at the break.
Six minutes into the second half Scott Rumbold played a through ball to Ali Downs who was one on one with the keeper, he managed to slide it under the onrushing keeper and into the back of the net 4-1 Colts.
The conditions were starting to muddy up and players were struggling for traction, it became a scrappy midfield battle.
In the dying minutes Crosshouse pulled one back when they scored from a free kick on the edge of the box, but it was too little to late for the hosts and the game finished 4-2 Largs.
Grayson Duffy was man of the match with a solid and powerful performance in defence.
