THERE will be plenty of festive fun in Largs and surrounding towns and villages over the coming week with Yuletide celebrations set to return in full force for the first time in three years.

Both Millport and West Kilbride festivities kick off on December 2, and it is then the turn of the Largs Yuletide on December 7.

Santa's Grotto will be back in Nardini's Cafe and a temporary road closure order will see both Aitken Street and Tron Place closed for the benefit of pedestrians.

A 'Starlight Stage' will also be erected in Aitken Street and Santa will be leaving Kwik Fit at 6pm and heading down the Main Street to his grotto.

There will also be fairground rides and local stalls, as well as a treasure hunt around local shops.

The Brisbane Evangelical Choir will be performing outside The Bagel Basket.

Ian Murdoch, chair of Largs Events, said: "We have pulled out all the stops to bring everyone the best event possible - we need the business community and the public to turn out in force and help make it a great night."

Santa's sleigh will visit Skelmorlie and Fairlie on December 5, Largs on December 6 and West Kilbride on December 8 as the celebrations continue, and Largs Events will once again be delivering selection boxes to every pupil in Largs, Fairlie, and Skelmorlie primaries.
