There was heavy flooding with road closures at Hunterston/West Kilbride and Inverkip this morning.
The A78 between Hunterston and Portencross has been closed in both directions due to flooding.
Buses and trains were cancelled due to flooding issues.
The A78 between Hunterston and Seamill re-opened in the early afternoon
McGills 901/906 service has now returned to service after earlier cancellations to the timetable.
ScotRail have also reported that flooding at Lochwinnoch means that Largs trains to Glasgow are cancelled until further notice.
UPDATE: The railway is also flooded at Lochwinnoch now. This means we can't run any services between Ayr, Ardrossan, Largs or Glasgow. ^Angus

Flooding has also affected roads on the Isle of Cumbrae too - between The Pier and Cumbrae Slip ( especially at the Wishing Well) - caution is advised
