A LARGS firm of solicitors are working for free to help people with the cost of living crisis.
Robert Duff & Co are offering powers of attorney to those in receipt of certain benefits.
Managing partner Alan Hill explained why the practice had decided to step up.
He said: “This is an important legal document and allows those we have selected, usually close family members, to help with paying the bills or making medical or care decisions on people's behalf.
"I regard it as a form of insurance, hopefully it is never needed, but if it is, this simple document makes life much easier for family members.
"For many the cost is off-putting, especially so during the current cost of living crisis, so we wanted to do more to help.
"Anyone interested can contact us or come into our offices in either Largs or Millport to make an appointment.”
