St Mary's Primary in Largs kicked off their Chinese New Year celebrations with a special whole school assembly.
Pupils put their design skills to good use as part of the project and gained a wider cultural understanding.
Children learned about Chinese New Year in class with Mandarin teacher, Miss Yang, and created some related crafts.
A spokesperson for St Mary's said: "We are very proud of the fact that we are a Confucius Classroom.
"We are very fortunate that this gives our children the opportunity to enjoy an authentic experience of Chinese Culture and to learn some Mandarin language.
