As part of a nostalgic throwback Thursday look back, we delve back into the archive and look at a Largs Thistle side of 15 years ago.

The Barrfields side enjoyed a good season in the Stagecoach West 1st division and had been in third position since November.

It was an exciting squad with long serving striker James Marks upfront alongside former Morton hot shot Phil Cannie, the dangerous Michael Fulton on the wing, and former Scottish Cup winning captain Neil Shearer in the rearguard - the latter two also had Greenock Morton conntections.
This team picture was taken before a 3-1 over Thorniewood United. Pictured top row are Ross McMillan, Willie McClure, Jamie Marks, Neil Shearer, John Robertson, Stephen Connick, Stewart Hendren, Gus Gault, Martin Dow, Graham Black.

Bottom row Phil Cannie, Thomas Jamieson, Alan McCabe, Jasper Donnelly, Kevin McCann, Anthony McLernan, Michael Fulton, and Ryan McWilliams (GK).

New defensive signing Ross McMillan, whose girlfriend was also Largs physio Tina McWatters, had just joined the club and easily fittted into the backline with Neil Shearer and Stewart Hendren, and two seasons later, skippered Thistle to the Scottish Cup final at Rugby Park.

The team was managed by Sandy MacLean and his assistant Paddy McIlvogue.
