The S1 football team of Largs Academy travelled to Ardrossan Academy for an Ayrshire League Cup match.
The secondary school has a fine tradition of strong football teams - winning the Scottish Schoolboy Shield in 2010 - and a number of other local trophies since then.
It was tough conditions for both teams and a great game to watch for the neutral.
The end result was 2-2 in an engrossing end to end encounter.
The goalscorers were Junior Johansson and Jamie Jack with player of the match as Fraser Creighton.
