HMS Queen Elizabeth was an early morning visitor to the area today as she sailed past Largs.
The mammoth aircraft carrier sailed between Bute and Cumbrae on her way to Glenmallen on Loch Long.
The vessel will take on supplies during the visit, before sailing back out into open waters.
Unlike the ship's previous visit, no special measures or flight restrictions were put in place locally for her arrival.
