North Ayrshire Soccer Association 2010 League
Largs Colts 8 Troon Thistle 0
Largs extended their shutout streak to three matches without conceding after a convincing victory against Troon Thistle.
It took Largs just 11 seconds to get on the scoresheet as Craig McInroy harried a defender into making a mistake, sprung on the loose ball and knocked it past the keeper.
McInroy got on the end of a Scott Rumbold through ball and slotted under the keeper for his second, and from the kick off, Innes McAlindon stole the ball from a Troon defender, rounded the goalkeeper and knocked the ball into the empty net.
McAlindon was on the scoresheet moments later, knocking home a fumbled Rumbold long range shot before McInroy completed his first half hat-trick when he got on the end of a cross and hammered the ball home to make it 5-0 at half time.
Cormac O’Neill went on a mazy run down the right wing and floated the ball to the back post for a waiting Scott Rumbold to convert early in the second half and Connor Hitter managed to bag a goal for the second week running when he pounced onto a defensive mix up. Caiden Frew finished off the scoring.
Player of the Match was Craig McInroy.
