A football photograph from the News archive from forty years ago has plenty of familiar faces.
The Boys Brigade Centenary football match was not short on participants - and had some well known players featuring.
Former Hearts, Queen of the South and Largs Thistle defender Crawford Boyd played in the match, as did local referees Preston Glover and Graham Gilchrist, while Gordon Law, who went on to become the President of the Scottish Junior Football Association is also pictured.
