MSP Kenneth Gibson has given his backing to the new community men's shed which is opening in Largs this Saturday.
The new Men's Shed in the Brisbane Centre in Largs is ready to open its doors - with an official launch on March 4 at 10am.
Members of the community are welcome to come along and join dignitaries, sponsors and a piper who will be celebrating the unveiling.
The group told the News that they have received a shed-load of support from local businesses, with donations of tools and materials to ensure a flying start, while membership numbers have also been steadily growing.
Kenneth Gibson said: "Earlier this week I popped into the newly established Clyde Coast & Cumbraes Men's Shed at the Brisbane Centre, Bath Street.
"Men’s sheds are community spaces for men to connect, converse and create while helping to reduce loneliness and isolation.
"Membership of this new shed is open to people from West Kilbride, Fairlie, Skelmorlie, Cumbrae and Largs."
