Chesney Hawkes and his iconic hit 'The One and Only' and Scandinavian super group Roxette's 'Joyride' were riding high in the pop charts as Largs Boys' Brigade told the News of their delight at receiving a cheque for £250 from the Stakis Charity Group.
Meaanwhile St Mary's Primary pupils raised £658 for Third World Aid after a school fundraiser while Millport Youth Club members posed for our snapper.
The Brisbane Queen was present at a function which included former town provosts, Dan Doris and Willie Donald, and finally the Skelmorlie Playgroup were given a fun visit from the local fire brigade.
