Due to forecast adverse weather, maintenance scheduled to commence this weekend on the A78 between Hunterston and Southannan Roundabouts has been cancelled due to bad weather.
Essential resurfacing on the A78 between Southannan Roundabout and Hunterston Roundabout is to take place from Monday March 13 until Monday 3rd April 2023.
The work will be carried out using two full weekend closures and additional overnight closures (9pm – 6am) as well as daytime temporary traffic lights.
As part of the works, a full closure of the A78 between Southannan and Hunterston Roundabouts was due to take place from 8pm on Friday March 10 until 6am on Monday March 13.
However, the carriageway will be open throughout the weekend and work will now commence overnight from Monday 13th March 2023.
