A golden period for Largs businesses is remembered in this week's delve into the archives.
The above photo shows Charlie Lyle and staff at The Clachan - which is now The Waterside Bar - and was a very popular haunt in the 1970s and 80s and was a favourite of Ryder Cup winning golf legend Sam Torrance.
Eileen McCallum, who played Isobel Blair of Take the High Road fame visited a number of businesses as part of a Largs and Millport News feature.
Eileen is a Scottish actress who is best known for playing the part of shopkeeper Isabel Blair through the complete run of the STV soap opera Take the High Road from 1980 to 2003, and as Liz Hamilton from 2005 to 2018 in the BBC Scotland soap River City.
Here she is visiting McConechy's in Lade Street which closed at the turn of the year after over 30 years of business in Largs.

Toby's Bar - Liz Peters of Tobys presented cheque to John Barber representing Children's Hospice. Cash was raised at anAustralian Auction in the Gallowgate Street premises. Tobys is now Indigo Eats in Gallowgate Square but used to be a well known local pub for many years.
