Pupils at Cumbrae Primary School showed their eco side this week.
The youngsters took part in a beach clean on the island, with plenty of litter removed.
A schools spokesperson said: "On Tuesday afternoon our pupil leadership groups met to progress their planned actions.
"Our Learning for Sustainability group is helping to improve our environemnt by workng with Beecology and participated in a beach clean.
"They will analyse the litter collect and share information with the school. Their next step will be to organise one for the whole school!"
