Jamie-Lee Harvie, 12, who had been missing from Ayr since Tuesday March 14 has been traced safe and well by officers in the Irvine area this afternoon.
Chief Inspector Kevin Lammie, Ayrshire Police Division, said: “We would like to thank everyone who assisted in the search for Jamie-Lee.
"Thank you as well to members of the public and the media for sharing our appeal.”
Jamie-Lee was last seen by a family member at Irvine Train Station around 3:30pm last Tuesday.
