Trip Advisor have revealed their top rated places to eat in Largs - and number one is based in the heart of town.

The Three Reasons in Largs town centre is the top eatery of choice by Trip Advisor reviewers.

Comments from satisfied reviewers during the past month included “Good food and great staff”, while another said: "Although it was extremely busy, the ladies made us feel really welcome.. food amazing.. staff amazing.. we will be back!"

And a happy customer added: "We both had the special, fetherblade of beef. It was delicious. Dog friendly pub. Will return next time we're in the area, and would recommend."

In second spot was Tinto Tapas based in Boyd Street.

A reviewer said: "What a find! First time here and definitely won't be the last. The chicken in creamy garlic sauce was amazing, we also had the chicken skewers, garlic bread, fish selection and creamy potatoes, all were lovely, nice wine too, the value was amazing. Can't wait to go back to try some more."

The Bagel Basket featured in third spot.

A happy customer said: "Fantastic cafe/bistro in the centre of town, warm friendly welcome on a cold and wet day, great menu choices, delicious locally sourced ingredients made for very tasty food, would definitely recommend if you are in the area."

The Chef Eye features in fourth spot and received this glowing review: "We had an amazing meal at this little restaurant with a really varied menu. The food was exceptional and the friendly staff made it even better. Highly recommend."

And The Gypsy Cream in Frazer Street was in fifth spot and  received this soup-er feedback: "A friend came to stay and saw this place and knew she would like as did fresh soups and home baking. She loved it. I also enjoyed scrambled egg and toast and lovely coffee.
