Largs Thistle have signed up long serving skipper Scott Adam for next season.

The club have put up an announcement this evening that the experienced forward who has been with the club for over six seasons has signed on the dotted line for next.

Scott has been a stalwart at Barrfields Park in the good times and bad - memorably netting his last hat-trick in a closed doors match during the Covid lockdown against Blantyre with head, left foot and right.

He has bounced back from knee injury and played the remaining games of last season to help Largs get over the finishing line and scored this memorable penalty to seal Thistle's position in the top ten of the Premiership last season.

And following a knee operation in October, Scott has steadily worked his way back to fitness making an appearance off the substitute's bench as Largs defeated Cumnock at Townhead Park in January.

After a number of sub apperanaces, Adam was handed his first start in a Largs shirt this season and Thistle's 'Roy of the Rovers' duly obliged by netting the opening goal in a valuable 2-1 victory against Troon which even netted the attention of a passing train driver who tooted his horn in appreciation.
