VOICES from beyond the grave and ghostly apparitions had staff at Kelburn Country Centre in a panic this week back in 2010.

Staff said that hoovers and lights had started to switch themselves on and off, while upstairs rooms in the castle mysteriously became locked and were ransacked.

The Ghosthunters Scotland group were called in to investigate and a ghostly figure was seen in the old hen house next to the castle while mediums said they had detected the presence of other spirits from the past.
