A Largs firefighter has received a top award after rushing to the aid of a member of the public while he was off duty.
Calum Little has been awarded the Chief Officer's Commendation for trying to help save the life of a member of the public while off duty in June 2021.
Area Commander Ian McMeekin, the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service’s local senior officer for Ayrshire, said: “Our Chief Officer Commendation Awards recognise those who have gone above and beyond to assist people at a time of need.
“At our Commendation Award Ceremony, we recognised over 40 people, every one of them is an exceptional individual. We are grateful to them and we thank them for their dedication and commitment to their local communities.
“This includes firefighter Calum Little, from Largs Community Fire Station, who at attempted to assist a member of the public while he was off duty.”
