A young charity champion paid a special visit to Morrisons in Largs as part of a mammoth tour around all of the supermarket giant’s stores.

Jack Thompson is on a mission to visit as many Morrisons stores as he can to say thank you for the supermarket’s help in fundraising for Young Lives vs Cancer.

The charity was a Morrisons partner from 2017 to 2022, raising a staggering £140,000 to help young people battle the disease.

Young Lives vs Cancer supported Jack after he was diagnosed with a brain tumour when he was just a baby, which left him partially sighted.

Jack was given a tour around the Largs store, and even got a shot of the tannoy to send a special message to shoppers.

Lorraine Nicol, the store’s community champion, said: “Jack loves to visit Morrisons community champions and Largs is the 125th store he has visited.

“Thanks to the customers of Morrisons Largs, we raised over £22,000 here during our five year partnership.

“We showed Jack around our store and gave him a Scottish themed hamper and certificate to remember his time here.

“He also wished all our customers a great day on our tannoy system, which we think he did a great job with. What an amazing young man he is.”
