The story of a torture victim who was lured to a West Kilbride flat and murdered will be told on TV tonight.

Lynda Spence was abducted, tortured and murdered in a flat in the village in April 2011, but her body has never been found.

Colin Coats and Philip Wade were sentenced to life imprisonment in 2013 for the killing, receiving minimum jail terms of 33 years and 30 years respectively.

On April 14, 2011, Lynda was lured to the property in West Kilbride, where she was held hostage, taped to a chair and tortured for two weeks.

She was burned with an iron, hit with a golf club, her toes were crushed, her thumb cut off and one of her fingers severed.

David Parker and Paul Smith also admitted holding Ms Spence at Parker's flat in West Kilbride in April 2011.

Parker was sentenced to 11 years and three months, while Smith was jailed for 11 years.

A new documentary looking into the murder is to air on Channel 5 tonight (Wednesday, April 12), named 'The Kidnap and Murder of Lynda Spence'.

The programme will at 9pm, and will also be available on the channel's catch-up service.
