Police in West Kilbride bravely gave chase to a youth who was allegedly in possesion of a knife, before catching and arresting them.
Officers were called to the village's Main Street on Saturday April 1, after receiving reports of two male youngsters in the area, one of whom allegedly had a blade.
In a police report, presented to West Kilbride Community Council, a spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “Several police officers immediately made their way there and observed the youth [in question] and another youth running off.
“After being chased and given the run-around, police were able to stop the youth within The Glen."
The young person then reportedly handed police a knife "from within his pocket" and was arrested for alleged possesion of an offensive weapon.
