In this week's delve back into the archives, we head back to 1994.
It was time of change as future PM Tony Blair won the Labour Party leadership election defeating John Prescott and Margaret Beckett.
Top movies at the cinema included Four Weddings and a Funeral starring Hugh Grant, while Blur's 'Parklife' and a fledging new band called Oasis launched their debut album 'Definitely Maybe' - both of which signalled the exciting new wave of Britpop.
It was the prestigious Skelmorlie Gala Queen crowning including Melanie McGugan Stevenson, Jamye Lee Walker, Heather Simpson, and Ailsa Weatherall all in the picture.
At the top of their game in 1994 were Largs Colts Football Club as their annual prizegiving took place after another successful season.
The long running Peggy Inglis School of dance was preparing for its annual show in Largs with a full dress rehearsal.
And top of the class were these sixth year Largs Academy Pupils who won awards at the annual prizegiving in the assembly hall.
