Largs manager Stuart Davidson wants his players to home in on victory, with three of their last five league games at Barrfields Park – and has urged supporters to play their part.

The Thistle boss is demanding a reaction from his players after their loss to Darvel ended their recent winning run.
Largs have since had a three-week break from action but return with a big home fixture against Hurlford on Saturday with a 2pm kick-off – and Davidson wants a bumper crowd.
The sides fought out an entertaining 2-2 draw at Blair Park earlier in the season, while a stunning Stuart Faulds volley secured a draw in a pre-season friendly between the sides. But Hurlford ran out 3-1 winners at Barrfields in January in the West of Scotland Cup.
So Largs are looking to get their first win against Hurlford since a 2-0 win over the Blair Park side in their great escape from the relegation places last April to finish tenth in the table.
Davidson said: “We want to finish up the table as high as we can - albeit first of all we want to be out of the relegation dogfight - and we want to push ourselves to see how far up we can go as a benchmark for next season. However, first and foremost we need to stay in the league.
“We suffered disappointment against Darvel, which shows you that we cannot afford to rest on our laurels.
“We have been playing well for a couple of months and that was the first setback we have had in a while.
“It won’t be acceptable to come in and say ‘Oh well we got beat off Darvel who are the league champions pushing for the league and we are on a good run and it is alright’.
“It is not alright. We want to win every game.”
The Thistle boss believes that the work ethic of his squad has been good at training and they are well prepared for their big final five games of the season.
He said: “The players have been fantastic and they are a great group to work with and I always look forward to training because of their work-rate and the way they go about their business.
“After training the other night, there were 14 boys still out doing extra and working on things, that is the kind of squad we have got and I love to see that, and I just want us to push on and have a strong finish to the season.”
And Davidson is delighted to have signed up a raft of the current squad already for next season, including skipper Scott Adam, Will Sewell, Stuart Faulds, Ryan McCreath, David McGrath, Lewis Davidson, and Sean McLeod.
The club is in a much healthier state after Stuart Davidson’s SOS call at the turn of the year for more committee and business sponsorship, with The Fish Works, Mapes of Millport, Rhino Express and Only Sport Ltd all now on board.
The gaffer said: “It is great to have that stability. Maybe it is something we have struggled with in the past and it gives everyone that confidence knowing that we are going to be sticking together for next season and gives me a chance to add to the squad and improve it.
“A lot of the boys could have gone to other clubs - other clubs have been in and about and offering them more money to go elsewhere - but they realise what they have got here and enjoy working together, and it is a compliment to Largs Thistle that these boys have stayed here as well.
“There will be another couple of signings tied up over the coming weeks and we will be looking for another couple as well.
“Obviously I am building towards next season as well but that doesn’t mean this season is finished and we still have a lot of work to do.
“By the time we get back playing, a lot more teams will have a lot more games and points under their belts so we have to be ready to win games when we get back.”
