A break-in at the Salvation Army charity shop in Largs has prompted a police investigation.

The incident took place between Thursday night and Friday morning last week.

The shop was able to reopen to the public the same morning thanks to the hard work of volunteers.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Officers became aware of a break-in at a shop on Tron Place in Largs around 8.25am on Friday, April 21.

“The incident happened sometime over the previous night and enquiries are ongoing.

“Anyone with information can call 101, quoting reference 0626 of April 21.”
