Onlookers on Largs seafront were treated to a cruise ship passing close by on Sunday night.

The Mein Schiff 3 sailed down the Largs channel between the town and Cumbrae as it headed out to open water.

The vessel, registered in Malta, is owned by TUI Cruises and was built at a cost of £360 million.

The ship, which made its first voyage in 2014, has a crew of 1,000 and contains 1,253 staterooms with 2,500 lower beds.

The vessel was captured in action on Sunday night by Largs News Camera Club member Francesca Pearce.
