The RNLI Fundraising Committee are starting the Coronation weekend celebrations early with an afternoon tea this week.

The event takes place at Clark Memorial Church Hall on Thursday, May 4 from 2pm to 4pm.

There will be scones generously donated by the Willowbank Hotel and home-made cakes with tea and coffee.

There will also be souvenir and craft stalls, and the opportunity to win prizes on the bottle stall and tombola, so everyone is invited to come along and meet friends and have a good natter, with very good refreshments.

Tickets are £3 and are available at the door.

The May 8public holiday has been named Volunteer Day and people have been asked to consider doing some voluntary work to mark the occasion.
