This May, Ayrshire residents are being encouraged to ‘step up’ and help Mary’s Meals feed more hungry children around the world.

National charity Mary's Meals is calling on Ayrshire residents to 'step up' this May and help raise vital funds for hungry children.

During National Walking Month, the charity is calling on people to take part in its Move for Meals challenge.

Throughout May, Mary’s Meals is asking people to walk 10,000 steps a day as part of the challenge, and raise money in the process.

The charity serves a daily school meal to children living in some of the world’s poorest countries, with almost 2.5 million children reached every school day in 18 countries.
