Regarding the forthcoming changes to the Largs-Glasgow timetable, it is still not clear from ScotRail why two trains per hour is the core service to 'all areas' - with the one exception being Largs.

What did Largs do to merit this? On top of that, the poorest service on any of ScotRail's timetables is to be reduced further and then made slower.

A cynic might be tempted to think that ScotRail simply wishes to continue to maintain the Largs single track as the go-to cancellation service to make up lost time elsewhere in Ayrshire; and that these proposed changes simply facilitate that further.

Our communities do have a right to understand the logic of the decision making, given our taxes are subsidising the operations.
