Stargazers across Ayrshire might get the chance to view the Eta Aquariid meteor shower tomorrow morning.
The display is expected to peak in the early hours of Saturday morning, with around 120 to 160 shooting stars per hour.
The phenomenon, which has been active since April 19, occurs when the Earth passes through the debris of Comet Halley.
The shower will peak between midnight and dawn on Saturday morning, and will appear low in the sky for much of the UK.
To get the best chance of seeing the display, NASA is advising people to get as far away from bright lights as possible, don’t look at your phone and try not to look at the moon.
