Cruise ship season is in full swing on the Firth of Clyde with the latest large vessel transiting the body of water on Saturday.

The Regal Princess was captured by camera club member Gordon Hugh Lundie heading past Cumbrae on its way to Holyhead.

The vessel, operated by Princess Cruises, is 330 metres long and can carry just over 3,500 passengers.

With a crew of 1,300, the vessel has a casino, theatre, swimming pools, sports facilities and even a unique 28-metre glass walkway.

Plenty more cruise ships are set to sail past Largs and Cumbrae this month.
