Motorists travelling through West Kilbride and Seamill are facing lengthy delays today.
Temporary stop/go signals are in operation on the A78 Snowdon Terrace because of works on the adjacent Merlewood Road.
Merlewood Road will close daily from 9am until 6pm from Tuesday May 9 until Friday May 19.
Traffic is backed up in the area so leave extra time for travel on the route in both directions.
