A WEST Kilbride business owner has appealed for help to trace an alleged 'thief' who vandalised her salon overnight.
The vandal targeted Helen Armstrong Professional Hair Care in the early hours of Wednesday, May 10.
The intruder was caught on CCTV looking for something in the premises, with a smashed door in the background.
Ms Armstrong said: "He was looking for cash, but caused hundreds of pounds in damage to the door and locks that all now need to be replaced.
"The bag he has is from Foot Asylum and he was on a push bike.
"They threw a boulder at the window and it smashed the glass which came away from the wooden frame.
"I don't get much cash in the salon and i certainly wouldn't be keeping it there if i did.
"Hopefully somebody out there recognises them and can report it to the police."
A Police Spokesperson said: "Around 7am on Wednesday May 10, police received a report a commercial property had been broken into in Ritchie Street, West Kilbride. Enquiries are ongoing."
