The King’s Coronation Party at Haylie House in Largs proved to be a right royal occasion with the visit of the Deputy Lord Lieutenant Mrs Jane Evans.

Haylie House were delighted to welcome families, friends, staff, local ministers, councillors and trustees to join the residents in their celebrations for King Charles and Queen Camilla.

Manager Irene Smith said: "It was wonderful to be able to enjoy the company of all our visitors who loved all the fantastic food prepared by our wonderful kitchen team.

"Jane unveiled our portrait of King Charles III, assisted by Hope Grant, one of our residents.

"We had entertainment from Eddy the piper, the Largs Accordion Players, and Frazer and friends, which had everyone singing and dancing.

"Jim Laurie and Betty Turner had the honour of cutting our King Charles III Coronation Cake, prepared by Chris Powis, our catering manager.

"There were many highlights from the day, but the best was the atmosphere created by being together to celebrate such a special event."

Irene passed on a massive well done to all the staff for working so hard to ensure the day went so smoothly.

She said: "Your efforts have been very much appreciated by everyone!"
