St Columba's Episcopal Church in Largs hosted a coronation party with choral singing, an invitational lunch, and a tree planting - all in honour of King Charles III and Queen Camilla.

The occasion was blessed with glorious sunshine in the church grounds with the Reverend Mark Goodman, the Rector of St Columba's, based in Aubery Crescent.

Secretary Hilary Moran said: "A very enjoyable invitation lunch with friends to celebrate the King's Coronation.

"It couldn't have gone better. It was such a great spread of food.

"The choir sang the King's anthem and we planted a family apple tree with three varieties on.

"And the sun came out so we ate outside."
