The iconic Waverley paddle steamer returned to Largs and Cumbrae over the weekend as it started its sailings for this year.

The opening days of the season, from Friday May 19 to Monday May 22, saw the Waverley sailing from Glasgow, Greenock, Largs, Kilcreggan, Blairmore, Dunoon, Rothesay, Millport and Tighnabruaich.

On Tuesday May 23, the vessel will head off to Oban and the Inner Hebrides, and can be joined at Glasgow, Largs or Campbeltown and sailed all the way to Oban via West Loch Tarbert and the Sound of Jura.

Coaches will meet Waverley on her arrival at Oban for the return journey.

The ship's main Clyde summer season, with more destinations added to the timetable, including Ayr, Troon, Girvan and Brodick, runs from June 23 to August 27.
