A catalytic converter was stolen from a car parked in Largs, police reports say.
The incident happened on Greenock Road near the seafront on April 27.
A police spokesperson said: "Unknown persons did approach the vehicle and steal a catalytic converter.
"Enquiries are ongoing in relation to the matter."
The incident was referred to in the monthly summary of crime incidents in the report given by police to Largs Community Council.
