Cumbrae Primary School is urging islanders to pick up their spades and shovels for its Big Dig Week next month.
From Tuesday, June 6 to Friday, June 9, the school is giving its community garden a makeover, and is looking for help from families and friends.
The school has ambitious plans to plant fruit and vegetables in the garden, which is being developed in conjunction with the Cumbrae Forum and Cumbrae Parish Church.
If anyone can spare an hour or two during Big Dig Week, they should head to the school with their spade and fork between 10am and 3pm.
