A popular garden centre near West Kilbride has issued an appeal for customers to return its baskets so they can “live out their best lives”.
The Rowan Tree Restaurant and Garden Centre, located on the A78 Shore Road, had around 75 baskets at the start of the year and now has just ten.
A spokesperson said: “It’s so upsetting for us to think these baskets are sitting all alone in car boots, garages or back gardens when they should be here living their best lives.
“Do you have a basket that might have accidentally been taken home in your car? If you do we kindly ask that you drop off the basket at your earliest convenience.”
