The Cathedral of the Isles is hosting one of its popular summer concerts this Sunday - and has secured another top name.

Virtuoso pianist Tyler Hay will be performing between 3-4.30pm at the historic setting - with his piano playing being described as "phenomemal" as he takes on demanding works with enthusiastic flair.

He is a recording artist for Brilliant Classics and, for his first concert in the cathedral, will present a programme of popular classics including works by Chopin, Mendelssohn and Debussy.

The concert will end with Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue.

Tyler Hay was born in 1994 and began learning the piano at the age of six. In 2007, he gained a place to study with Tessa Nicholson at the prestigious Purcell School for Young Musicians, where he received a scholarship under the government’s Music and Dance Scheme. In 2012, he won the Fenton Award from the Purcell School as a scholarship for furthering his musical education and career, and in 2013, he won the Senior Concerto Competition.
