What an incredible result from such a poor performance.

Scotland were amazing. Norway thought they had the game won but what a turnaround. A poor performance but just shows you it’s a “funny old game”. Three games played nine points - how good is that?

There was also VAR controversy in the Northern Ireland game, it looked a goal to me for Calum Marshall on his debut.

It very much reminded me of Sir Alex Ferguson's Manchester United and their late heroics to overturn a 1-0 deficit against Bayern Munich in the Champions League Final in Barcelona in 1999.

Condolences to the McQueen family and friends after the death of Gordon.

I was with Gordon a few years ago when we both presented awards at the Kilbirnie Ladeside Hall of Fame dinner. He was so open about his time in football and was great company. A true Scottish football legend.

I see that Rangers have pulled out of the Lowland League after the SFA withdrew the proposal for the Conference League.

What I don’t get is Rangers thanked the Lowland League for the sporting challenges the teams gave them, yet highlighted that there is no governing body-led development structure for players between 18-21 in Scotland.

They also state 10 recent Academy players featured in the Rangers first-team last season. and yet they've pulled out the league. Why pull out of what they regard as a success if there's nothing to replace it?

Congratulations to Largs boy Aaron Quigg who signed a professional contract with Kilmarnock. Well done.

Again, it was goals goals goals from Largs Thistle 35s, sponsored by Cullis Amusements, in their league game against Galston which they won 6-4. It’s never a dull game when the 35s are involved .

Another great team effort that I was pleased to be part of after being out for eight weeks. There was a great performance by Robi Giovino, who stood in as our goalie but let’s hope he can get back to his usual striker position.

One big surprise was James Bennett not scoring.

There's a difficult game coming up this week away at Whitletts.
