In this week's delve into the archives, we head back to the disco days of the 1980s as children in Largs showed off their best moves on the dance floor.
Brian McMillan's summer disco was one of the popular attractions at Largs seafront on the esplanade in front of Nardini's Restaurant.

Pictured are Maxine Wilkie and Suzanne McCamley, who were winners of the Largs Youth Panel competition. They performed under the lights, to the sounds of Tears for Fears' 'Shout' and Eurythymics' 'There Must be an Angel' - both massive hit songs of the period - and of course, Madonna's ground breaking 'Material Girl'.

And punk music hairstyles were very much all the rage in Largs in the 1980s - as Aileen Dunbar and Gaynor Dick showed off the latest trendy look of the period.

And there were plenty of movers and shakers on the St Mary's Primary School dancefloor in this classic scene, above.

And now we leap back a decade to 1974 with a disco dance held in Barrfields with the Largs Youth Panel - at a time when Slade, Roxy Music and Leo Sayer were in the charts.
