A quirky and much loved fund-raising event is returning Largs this summer with the aim of raising funds for the town's lifeboat.
The Rubber Duck Race has been a popular fixture in the Largs summer calendar going back many years, after it was launched by the Largs Round Table in 1999.
It has been a splash hit with families ever since as each of the 1,500 rubber ducks have a number on the back.
And you can sponsor a duck - and potentially win a cash prize.
The big event takes place at 12 noon on Saturday, July 15, with a top prize of £100 plus other cash prizes.
The ducks are launched from the bridge next to Morrison's roundabout, opposite the entrance to Jewson's.
Tickets will be on sale this Friday June 30, at Morrisons in Largs from 10am until 4.30pm
Crew members from Largs RNLI will escort the toys as they race down the burn, helping them avoid rocks, branches and other obstacles, with crowds cheering them on all along the route.
The Largs Round Table organised the event for many years until it was taken over by Largs Rotary. When they disbanded, it was passed to the RNLI's Largs lifeboat fund-raising team.
