A new attraction on Largs seafront has come over 1,200 miles to be here - and is being lapped up by visitors as the latest new tourism draw.
The Beach Wave ride is an exciting new funfair ride on the promenade as part of Quilly's Amusuements which has seen the Dumbo flying elephant ride and other attractions for many years.
And the latest new Beach Wave ride was transported over a period of 48 hours from the Czech Republic, to Largs seafront.
The international based ride even promotes Largs among other global locations such as Las Vegas, Hawaii, London, and Thailand.
Owner Quilly Clark and son Reece, 28, are hoping that the towering new structure adds to the number of attractions on the seafront and can help be a tourism draw to the town.
The ride is popular with children - but it can also take adults too - and there is enough spaces for 18 people on board at any one time.
Quilly said: "For the theme of the beach and what it is - we thought it would be an ideal thing to bring to Largs Prom.
"It is a new addition and hopefully people can come along and enjoy it.
"There is a height limit - it has to be anybody over four foot so very young children cannot use it but otherwise it can be used by children and adults.
"We have got the flying elephants, the beach buggies and now this new Beach Wave attraction.
"We needed to look for an attraction that was suitable for the seafront and this is one of the most popular funfair rides around - and we thought it would be ideal for the Clyde Coast."
The surf ride is described as an exciting thrill ride which allows 18 riders to enjoy a thrill seeking experience, where they are seated with over head restraints to keep them safe.
With the rotating arm sending riders round and round, Quilly told the News that the attraction has received great feedback so far, but numbers have been quiet during the first few weeks of summer because of poor weather.
However, Quilly is hoping for an 'Indian Summer' and said: "We keep hearing that a heat wave is coming and hopefully after some lovely weather in May, we can get an extended period of sunshine, and that will bring lots of people to the shore to enjoy what Largs has to offer."
