The full schedule for the Largs Regatta Festival has been revealed with excitement building ahead of the major event.

The regatta, a highly anticipated event in the Scottish sailing calendar, will run from August 25 to September 3 in the waters around the town.

The 2023 regatta includes an expanded racing schedule with a new midweek series for keelboats and dinghies, as well as a cruise-in-company for non-racers.

The cruise on August 26 is open to all motor and sail vessels and is led by Largs-based charity the Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust.

The Cumbraes Weekend runs on August 27 and 28, and includes keelboat and dinghy racing in Largs bay, followed by the popular Round Cumbraes Race on the Sunday.

The midweek series on August 29 and 30 includes keelboat and dinghy racing, with an extra race for dinghies only on August 31.

The highly anticipated Scottish Two Handed Race rounds off the racing action on Saturday, September 2.

The social schedule has also been expanded to include pop-up food stalls, live music entertainment and children's entertainment.

On August 25, The Shack from Arran and the Scottish Pizza Co will have the food offering, with live music from Liquid Spirit from 8pm.
