There were hopes earlier this week that Fairlie roadworks for a new manhole installation would have been completed.
However, the roadworks are still in place, causing some disruption for motorists passing through the village.
The hole has now been covered up but the traffic lights were still in place today, albeit no sign of any workers at the scene.

Scottish Water are carrying out the works.
The works began on July 26 - and were due to be completed within 18 working days - on August 18.
