An unusual weather phenomenon was caught on camera by residents in Ayrshire - leaving onlookers stumped.
The rainbow was spotted hugging the water on the Firth of Clyde between Cumbrae and Largs on Friday.
The CalMac ferries MV Loch Shira and MV Loch Riddon were spotted almost sailing through the rainbow.
